An Introduction to First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield

For those who are interested in becoming members or would simply like to know more about the church, First Presbyterian Deerfield offers classes periodically to explore the basics of Presbyterianism and give an introduction to our faith community here in Deerfield. These courses usually last three weeks and are conducted from 9:45 to 10:35 a.m. during the Christian Education hour.

Conducted by members of the church staff, the class briefly covers what it means to be a Presbyterian Christian and walks visitors through each of our Sunday morning services, explaining how we worship. It includes an overview of the programs and various activities available at our church. The class is informal and designed to present a relaxed setting where visitors can feel comfortable asking questions and becoming more familiar with our church.

To accommodate some busy schedules, the church also occasionally conducts a longer, one-session Saturday morning class to cover the same topics.
